This week I stepped back from adding features and checked whether the app was doing what its interface said it was doing. That turned out to be a useful way to spend a week.
A file-analysis command could reach the filesystem without going through the permission check. A few dialogs opened outside the visible screen. Two connection indicators were a little too confident about whether they were connected. Those gaps are now fixed, with tests for the cases that caused them.
I also went through the places where IKARUS talks to the network: configured AI providers, a connected email account, and web tools. There's now a test watching for new network access appearing elsewhere in the code.
None of this makes for a very exciting screenshot. But if I ask you to trust an assistant with your work, the permission controls and status labels have to mean something. I'll keep checking them.
