These pages explain the planned customer experience. Final operator details, policies and a support contact will be published before paid access opens.

Your workspace

IKARUS stores workspace information such as goals, notes and history in files on your Mac. Local storage does not mean every feature stays offline: connected services and the AI connection you choose determine what leaves your device.

Your AI connection

With your own API key, the conversation and relevant context are sent to your chosen provider. With included hosted AI, those requests go through the IKARUS service to the model provider. With Local Ollama, model requests stay on your Mac and go to an Ollama server running on that same device. IKARUS currently accepts local connections only.

Model providers have their own data-handling policies. Only connect information you are comfortable sending to the selected service. Browser, mail and other online tools can still access the network while you use a local model.

Accounts and payments

Paid access needs account and subscription records, payment references and AI-usage records. These let IKARUS confirm your plan and enforce your balance. Stripe processes payment details. API keys and account sessions on Mac use the operating system's credential store.

This website

The waitlist stores your email address, signup source, confirmation status and timestamps. When email delivery is configured, we send a confirmation link. The site counts page views by page and day without storing IP addresses or user agents in those counts, and respects Do Not Track.

Sound preferences are saved in your browser. Hosting providers may keep operational access logs separately from the site's page counters. Fonts are served by this website.

Requests about your data

Local data can be exported from the app. An account-deletion request and deleting local app data are different actions: removing an online account does not remove files or backups from your Mac.

The final policy will identify the business responsible for the service, retention periods and how to request access, correction or deletion. Contact details will be available on the help page before launch.
